New England tied their top unbeaten stretch from the Brady era as they defeated AFC East opponents the Jets 27-14 in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the New England squad secured an eight-game winning streak for the first time since iconic QB Brady's final season with the team in the 2019 season

Quarterback Maye accumulated 281 yards and a touchdown, completing 25 of 34 passes

The triumph extends the New England's advantage at the top of the division as they moved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York bottom after slipping to two victories and eight defeats

The visitors had gone in front at their home field with QB Justin Fields rushing for a short rushing score to finish the Jets' first possession

But the New England fought back in the second period as the rookie ran in two seven-yard TDs before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third quarter to make it 21-7

"It was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been excellent for him to keep getting these reps," the quarterback commented on the rookie. "He wants to be excellent."

Justin Fields connected with Metchie in the latter part of the third period to close the gap for the Jets but Andy Borregales kicked a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the Patriots sealed the triumph
